Frequently Asked Questions
What do you need to start working on a project?
To begin working on a project, I will require the material you want to translate (ideally in Word format), information on the project’s target and objective, and any instructions regarding your terminology and stylistic preferences. Contact me to discuss your project, and together we will find the ideal solution for your needs. My strategy has been improved over time, so working with me will be easier than expected. I’ll take care of everything, don’t worry.
What types of texts do you translate?
I specialise in translating digital and printed marketing materials such as catalogues, brochures, newsletters, online shops, websites, blogs, Amazon product descriptions, and more. These are some examples of texts I work with, but don’t worry if your project isn’t on the list. It is impossible to mention all of the projects I have worked on, but I would gladly assist you in finding the best solution for your needs. Contact me to discuss your project!
I'm not sure which service to choose. How do I make a decision?
If you are unfamiliar with the language industry, it might be challenging to choose which service is best for you. I am here to assist you! Contact me, and I will gladly arrange a free, no-obligation call to understand your needs and provide the best solution for you.
What are your rates?
The cost of a project is determined by several elements, including the number of words, file type, language combinations, urgency, and so on, so I can’t calculate a price without knowing the details of your project. Contact me for a personalised, no-obligation quote. Together, we’ll find the most cost-effective solution for your needs!
What is 'lost in translation'?
‘Lost in Translation’ is my mentoring programme for junior freelancer translators. It was created to assist people who want to make a career in translation in finding their way and succeeding. It is an exclusive and customisable course that will give freelancers all of the knowledge and resources they need to succeed as translators. Find out more and contact me if you have any questions!
Why should I contact you when I can use Google Translate or CHAT GPT?
Artificial intelligence has advanced significantly in recent years, but the results are still not in line with human translators (and probably never will be) in many areas. If you value quality, hiring a human translator is always the best option. Trust me!
